593 FRECCE is a collective exhibition developed during the “Public Utility Communication” course at ISIA Faenza, exploring the arrow as a universal symbol of direction, movement, and communication. My contribution investigates the relationship between the human form and the arrow, using body language and Greek mythology as sources for simplified symbolic interpretations. I also oversaw the exhibition design, developing the physical installation and its graphic and communicative elements to enhance the works and guide the visitor’s experience.
593 FRECCE is a collective exhibition developed as part of the Public Utility Communication course at ISIA Faenza, led by Professor Filippo Emiliani, and exhibited at the Museo Civico Malmerendi in Faenza. The project explores the arrow as a universal sign, capable of communicating concepts of direction, movement, and orientation through an immediately recognisable form. Each student was asked to develop a personal interpretation of the symbol, exploring its expressive and communicative potential.
My research focuses on the relationship between the ‘human figure and the arrow’, investigating how the body, through posture and the direction of its limbs, can naturally suggest movement and guide the viewer’s gaze. The theme was further developed through selected figures from Greek mythology, reinterpreted through a simplified and symbolic graphic language based on the arrow.
At the same time, I was responsible for the exhibition design, developing the physical installation as well as its graphic and communicative elements. The aim was to enhance the individual works while creating a coherent exhibition path capable of guiding and shaping the visitor’s experience.
